Dele Giwa: My Daughter Attended Girls’ College Oyo, Where She Was Called a Murderer’s Daughter — Togun

Retired Army Officer, Kunle Togun, has shared the painful experience his family went through after being wrongly accused of killing Nigerian journalist, Dele Giwa. Speaking in an exclusive interview with Edmund Obilo on Splash FM, Togun said that the accusations deeply affected his daughter, who was a student at Federal Government Girls College, Oyo, at the time.

“They were calling her a murderer’s daughter,” he said sadly. She wrote me a letter about how she was being treated and also made a complaint to her school principal, he added.

Togun explained that the principal responded by warning students not to call her such names again. These letters were later presented in court as part of a defamation case against the late lawyer and activist, Gani Fawehinmi, who had accused Togun and another officer, Akilo, of being involved in Giwa’s death.….KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
