According to the highly credible newspaper, his elder brother, Surajo Isa, confirmed the ransom collection on Wednesday night.

Daily Trust is reporting that aside the N60 million, the bandits also took five motorcycles before releasing their victim on Wednesday night.

Isa told the newspaper: “They came back from the bandits’ den around 8:30pm.”

He also said the Emir was buried by the bandits who kidnapped him on Wednesday morning.

“This is what our brother told us after his release,” he said.

A member of the Sokoto State House of Assembly, Hon. Aminu Boza, said Kabir was receiving treatment at Usman Danfodio Teaching Hospital, Sokoto as at press time.

Boza said: “Unfortunately, they have buried the remains of the late Emir in the bush.

“We learnt that the Emir was buried in the morning.

“The late Emir’s son, Alhaji Kabir Isa, is currently receiving treatment at Usman Danfodio Teaching Hospital, Sokoto.
