Displeased with the staff’s nonchalant attitude towards their duties, Jatau made it clear that his administration would not tolerate indiscipline in any form. The Speaker, who personally inspected staff attendance, expressed his disappointment after discovering that many had failed to show up at the required time.

Addressing journalists after his inspection, Jatau, who arrived at the office at 8:30 am sharp, bemoaned the staff’s poor work ethic. He stressed that the 7th Assembly, under his leadership, would not allow any form of sabotage by staff unwilling to adhere to work protocols.

“No organization thrives without discipline,” Jatau stated. “If staff members cannot discipline themselves, we will discipline them.”

While praising the state’s governor for his efforts to improve workers’ welfare, Jatau warned that under his watch, the welfare of the Assembly’s staff would remain a priority—provided they fulfilled their obligations.
