The governor, who stated this during his party, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) campaign rally in the Ekemwan area of the state, warned that any form of electoral malpractice by the opposition would lead to death.

While highlighting his administration’s achievements, he said his predecessor, Adams Oshiomhole, had no respect for the people of the state, especially women, who, according to him, he (Oshiomhole) encouraged to engage in prostitution and women trafficking.


Obaseki added that he pays pensioners regularly unlike what was in the past and has provided jobs for youths in the state.

Still on his achievements, he said Edo is one of the safest states in the country.

Then, he dropped the bombshell, as he said:

“This election is a do or die, if they do, we will die. Next week Saturday by this time, vote for PDP to become the next governor.”

The people of the state go to the polls next Saturday, September 21, to elect to the next governor of the state.
