He also claimed that the governor tried to manipulate the electoral process by transferring people to his polling unit which resulted to him having the highest number of PVC voters in his polling unit. He argued that the game changer in the edo election was because the governor betrayed other leaders in the PDP, including Dan Orbih, who had supported him in 2020. He stated that Obaseki kicked out nine out of ten contestants in the PDP primaries with no respect for their political significance in Edo state.

He said in an interview with Arise TV, ”The game changer was refusing to share in Obaseki’s program. And he was feeling he can be an autocrat and he can become a dictator. And he wanted to enforce his way because feels he now has the money which he never had in 2016. He wanted to use money to buy his way through this election. He feels that he can bring N73M to my ward and make sure he wins my ward. I can show you the document of the money he budgeted for my ward to be able to win my ward.

But when I saw that document, I laughed. And he also pushed a lot of people to transfer their polling unit to my own polling unit. And that is why in my state today, I have the highest number of PVC voters in my unit. So the game changer really is that we had 10 of us that contested for primaries in PDP, about nine of us Obaseki told us to go to hell.
