Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has stated that the club’s priority for next season is to challenge Liverpool and Manchester City for the Premier League title, ignoring last season’s runners-up, Arsenal.

The Argentine also discussed the club’s transfer plans, with a number of players leaving and only a few new signings.
He stated that those in charge of the club’s transfer business have done exceptionally well thus far, and that they had previously informed him of their plans.
“They showed me the transition plan; they started to work; the club started to work. It is doing a fantastic job and I am happy,” he said.
He stated that he has been working with them since July 1, when he took over as manager, and that the priority is to complete the squad and have a well-balanced squad.
“I know I need to build my relationship with the fans [given my history] but now I am fully committed with Chelsea. We know we can compete with the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool,” he said.
