He emphasized that the current administration, led by President Bola Tinubu, is committed to addressing the economic challenges facing the nation but believes that peaceful dialogue is the most effective way forward.
“Demonstration is not the solution to the challenges we face,” Akume added.
He acknowledged the right to peaceful protest but stressed the need for vigilance and circumspection in such times.
“We appeal to Nigerians of all backgrounds to shun calls for protest and focus on collaboration in addressing our collective challenges,” he said.
Akume highlighted the administration’s efforts to stabilize the economy, stating that Nigeria is a “work in progress.”
He reassured citizens that the ongoing economic hardships would soon ease, paving the way for prosperity.
“Together, we shall create a Nigeria where peace and stability are not merely aspirations but realities,” he asserted.
