According to Oke-Osanyintolu, LASEMA received distress calls via the 767 and 112 emergency lines at approximately 2:39 am. The agency quickly mobilized its response team from the Alausa command and control center.

Upon arrival, it was determined that the fire had engulfed one of the two-bedroom units in Flat 5, Block 21, a three-storey building consisting of 16 two-bedroom flats.

The investigation revealed that the fire started in the children’s room due to a power surge. Thanks to the swift and coordinated efforts of LASEMA, the Nigeria Police Force, and the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, the fire was brought under control.

While there were no injuries or fatalities, the children’s bedroom was completely destroyed, resulting in property losses estimated in the millions of naira.

Oke-Osanyintolu also mentioned that the occupants were educated on the proper use of electrical appliances to prevent future incidents.…..For More READ THE FULL ARTICLE HERE ▶▶
