Former Chairman of Nigerian Television Authority, NTA,Chief Patrick Ogbu has declared his intention to contest for the chairmanship of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Benue State.

Ogbu, a member of the PDP from its foundation without break, pointed out that his commitment and passion for the party’s success run deep and he is ready to channel this energy to transform it.
He said he is presenting himself as a capable chairmanship candidate to reposition the party in the state.
“Now, more than ever, our party needs strong capable leadership to navigate the challenges and embrace the opportunity that lies before us.
“I possess the necessary qualities to galvanize our party combining my experience, expertise, and unyielding dedication.
“Together we can mobilize, inspire and effect positive change within our ranks and beyond
“I offer myself as a capable candidate for the position of chairman.
“I pledge to be a unifying force within our party, bridging divides, fostering cooperation and collaboration among members and working tirelessly towards our shared goals.”
Former PDP governorship aspirant and candidate for Vandeikya/Konshisha Federal Constituency, Julius Atorough backed Ogbu, describing him as hardworking.
Chairman of Igumale Ward, Hon Godwin Onwue and the State Assistant Secretary of the party, Rose Ameh also backed Ogbu’s aspiration.
Also speaking, a former Special Adviser, Dr Sebastian Agbinda said while he has respect for all the aspirants, Ogbu’s record stands him out.
