Fubara made this vow while speaking at the funeral service of late Mrs Erefori Basi Maeba, mother of Senator Lee Maeba, in Luuwa Community, Khana Local Government Area of the state.

Fubara emphasized the importance of living a quality and exemplary life, which would have a lasting positive impact on society. He advised residents to focus on endeavours that contribute to the advancement of society, help individuals, and promote peace at all times.
The governor also reflected on the importance of honouring one’s parents while they are still alive. “We should, when our parents are alive, also honour them. That is the most important thing,” he said.
Fubara commended the children of the late Mrs Maeba for maintaining a good relationship with their mother while she was alive. He thanked everyone who came to support Senator Maeba and his family, emphasizing the importance of living a fulfilled life.
