Popular Nigerian preacher, Dr. Abel Damina, has stirred intense debate across religious circles following a bold statement made during a recent sermon. In his message, he declared, “God is no longer backing Israel,” challenging a long-held belief among many Christians who view modern Israel as divinely protected.
Dr. Damina argued that the ongoing wars in the Middle East, particularly involving Israel, have nothing to do with biblical prophecy or the second coming of Jesus Christ. “The wars happening are not signs of the end times,” he said. “They are purely political and should not be mistaken for divine warnings.”
He further emphasized that many believers are being misled by popular end-time teachings that are not rooted in proper scriptural interpretation. According to him, true understanding of prophecy must come from context and not fear-driven assumptions. “Linking every war to Jesus’ return is dangerous theology,” Damina warned.
