BREAKING: Federal Government Enhances Border Security Ahead of Planned Protests

Comptroller General of the Immigration Service, Kemi Nandap, has directed all Zonal Heads, State Command Comptrollers, and Divisional Immigration Officers to implement enhanced security measures.

According to DCI Kenneth Udo, spokesperson for the Immigration Service, the heightened security aims to prevent foreign nationals from entering Nigeria to participate in the protests.

The directive highlights the need for heightened vigilance and increased surveillance to manage the demonstrations effectively.

Additionally, Nandap has announced a temporary suspension of all leave applications for immigration officers and emphasized the need for high levels of professionalism and patriotism during this period.

She assured the public of the Immigration Service’s readiness to secure the nation’s borders and maintain national security amid the upcoming protests.

The Comptroller General’s statement reaffirmed the Immigration Service’s commitment to preventing any attempts to destabilize the country through foreign involvement in the protests.
