The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reacted to the verdicts passed by the governorship election petition tribunal in Enugu and Bauchi states.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!DAILY POST recalls that the tribunal sitting in Bauch State on Wednesday dismissed a petition filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its governorship candidate, Sadique Abubakar, and instead affirmed the victory of Governor Bala Mohammed of PDP.
Similarly, the tribunal sitting in Enugu State on Thursday upheld the election of Governor Peter Mbah of PDP, dismissing the petition filed by Barr Chijioke Edeoga of the Labour Party (LP).
Reacting to the judgements, PDP, in a post on its official X, congratulated the two governors, saying the development was commendable.
According to the main opposition party, the judgement is a reflection of people’s confidence in the party in Enugu and Bauchi states.
The post reads: “The judgement of the Governorship Election Petition Tribunals in Bauchi and Enugu States, upholding the victories of our party in both states, is commendable and highly deserving. This verdict is a reflection of the people’s confidence in our great party in Bauchi and Enugu states and, indeed, the entire country, Nigeria. Congratulations.”
