In Kaduna, hoodlums have targeted several locations, leading to widespread vandalism and theft.

The KASTLEA and KADIPA offices were extensively damaged by the attackers, who reportedly broke into the buildings and caused significant destruction. Additionally, several local shops were looted during the incident.

The police have been deployed to the affected areas, and an investigation is underway to identify and apprehend those responsible.

The Kaduna State Government has condemned the violence and urged citizens to remain calm while promising to take decisive action to address the situation and prevent future occurrences.

The command’s spokesperson, ASP Mansir Hassan, confirmed the incidents to the News Agency of Nigeria on Thursday in Kaduna.

Mr Hassan said, “The protesters also burnt an Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC), and looted many shops.

He added that 23 suspects have been detained, denying that operatives did not use live ammunition, saying that they only fired teargas.

Mr Hassane appealed for calm and urged restraint by the residents.
