“Since Monday till Friday, I didn’t eat or drink anything,” Emmanuel said. “I was tied, and they used cutlasses to cut me on my back and chest. They asked for 50 million naira. Later, Amotekun came and rescued us.”

Commander of the Amotekun Corps said the group has recently prevented at least 12 cases of kidnapping and robbery. He explained that the government of Ondo State has a zero-tolerance policy for crime and is committed to fighting kidnapping.
He called on the public to give helpful information to security agencies, promising that all tips will be handled with full confidentiality. He added, These rescued victims show that Ondo State is serious about ending crime. We won’t allow kidnappers to feel comfortable here.
