According to Vanguard, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz declared Friday that Iran had crossed “red lines” after launching missile attacks that targeted civilian areas, following a wave of Israeli strikes on Iranian territory. The tit-for-tat escalation between the two arch-enemies has drawn heightened global concern, with fears rising of a broader regional conflict.

Speaking to reporters in Tel Aviv, Katz said, “Iran has made a grave mistake. When it chose to respond to our defensive operations by attacking civilian populations, it crossed red lines that no sovereign nation can tolerate. This will not go unanswered.”
