In a statement released on September 26, 2024, Jarigbe characterized the rumors as “baseless, mischievous, entirely false and a figment of the imagination of political jobbers who are bent on misleading and distracting us from the important task of governance and development in our district.” He emphasized his unwavering commitment to the PDP, stating, “I remain fully committed to the ideals of the PDP and have no intention whatsoever of jumping ship.”
