He asserted that Dangote himself would confirm that the official launch of his cement factory in the Okpella community occurred during Oshiomhole’s tenure.

He emphasized Okpella’s importance as an industrial center due to the presence of Dangote and Bua Cement, but expressed disappointment that the anticipated development and infrastructure projects have not been realized.
He suggested that the current administration has failed to build upon the groundwork laid by Oshiomhole and has not fulfilled its commitments.
He said in an interview with Arise TV, ”I see them bragging about Dangote and Bua Cement but for God’s sake it wasn’t Obaseki’s handwork.
The Dangote Cement and Bua Cement project was the initiative of Oshiomhole. Things must be stated historically and accordingly so that we don’t mislead the good people of Edo state.
Even Dangote himself will tell you that when they did the official launch of his cement factory, it was in my community. They promised that they will give us Auchi Airport because of those businesses, they have not even cleared any site.
The governor told me he was going to build a six lane road connecting gele-gele as a port to Dangote Cement hub and Bua cement in my community.
