Takori said that supporters of the party in Zamfara State were worried over the lingering internal crisis rocking the party, which he said caused the defeat of the party in the 2023 general election in the State.

Speaking to newsmen on telephone, the former federal lawmaker said that the party’s supporters were aware of the crisis bedeviling the party and were gradually losing confidence in the party as they expected the leadership of the State APC to address the issue.

“The ongoing internal crisis, if handled with laxity will not only project the party in bad light before the electorate, but undermine the ability of the party’s leaders to hold the APC in the State into one indivisible entity”, he added.

Continuing, Takori stressed that efforts were being made by some of the party’s chieftains to address the issue, noting that he was very optimistic that the issue would be resolved very soon.

“I am very optimistic that the lingering internal crisis rocking the party will soon be addressed to reunite the members.

“The leaders of APC in the State have tasted the bitterness of defeat, so has the PDP tasted the sweetness of victory. I expect the APC elders to wade into the crisis and find a lasting solution to the problem.

“I urge the leadership of the party to shun needless political crises. I strongly urge that the lingering internal crisis in the State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, should be addressed immediately.

“I call on the leadership of the party in the State to reach out to the aggrieved members with a view to amending the cracks on the walls of the party and maintain peace and stability to avert conflict between personal interests and official engagement,” he stressed.

Speaking on the possible governorship rerun election, Takori noted that both the ruling and the opposition parties were wielding their armours for the grand duel, stressing that the APC would run away with landslide victory if it put its house in order.
