JUST-IN: They did not deploy soldiers from Enugu to kill our people just to make you happy–Bello Turji

Turji began by identifying himself and acknowledging Bukarti’s report: “My name is Bello Turji. I heard of someone named Bulama Bukarti, who made statements alleging that Turji imposed taxes on the people of Moriki. All that he said is true.”

However, Turji contested the reported amount and the reasons behind the tax. He stated, “You are a slave of the West, and you, along with Bello, should know that the tax we imposed on Moriki people is N50 million.” This figure is significantly higher than the N30 million initially reported by Bukarti.

Turji claimed the tax was a response to the killing of his group’s cattle. He challenged Bukarti’s reporting, saying, “You speak about the people of Moriki, but you didn’t mention how they killed our cattle.” He further elaborated, “Tell us what our cattle did in June and July when they were killed. They didn’t invade anyone’s home. They were grazing when they were shot and killed in broad daylight.”

The bandit leader also issued a warning to the people of Moriki: “Listen carefully, people of Moriki: I am warning you. They didn’t deploy soldiers from Enugu or Port Harcourt to kill our people just to make you happy while the West’s slaves published it to the public.”

This latest statement from Turji comes amid ongoing tensions in the region. Recently, he was in the news for allegedly seizing military vehicles, a claim the military has denied. The Chief of Defence Staff, Christopher Musa, has warned that Turji’s “days are numbered.”

In a previous video, Turji had accused Hausa people of being “traitors and hypocrites,” responsible for killing innocent Fulani people and their livestock. He threatened to continue his campaign against Hausa people if the killing of Fulani tribes does not cease, warning that Hausa farmers might not be able to farm in the next season due to these activities.

These developments highlight the complex and volatile situation in parts of northern Nigeria, where banditry and ethnic tensions continue to pose significant challenges to peace and security.…..For More READ THE FULL ARTICLE HERE ▶▶
