“If Trump wants to be our friend, we will be his friend. If he doesn’t want to be our friend, we won’t be his friend,” he said.
He addressed the possibility of Nigeria building a positive relationship with the Trump administration, underlining that such ties must be based on mutual respect. Kalu believes Nigeria should approach its international relationships with discipline and aim to maintain a cordial rapport with the U.S., regardless of policy shifts.
