Kano Pillars head coach Evans Ogenyi has boasted that Wednesday’s match against Katsina United is a mere formality.

Kano Pillars defeated DMD 2-0 to maintain the top spot in the Northern Conference Group at the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super Eight playoffs.

The Sai Masu-gida need just a draw from the game to confirm their promotion to the Nigeria Premier League (NPL)

Ogenyi is optimistic that his team will earn a berth in the NPL.

“The Katsina United match is just like a friendly match to me,” a boastful Kano Pillars coach told DAILY POST in Asaba.

“From the day of my unveiling as the coach of Kano Pillars, I have said it all that I am here to return the team to the NPL.

“We have already secured a spot mathematically, but we will go out and maintain our dominance against Katsina United on Wednesday.”
