Katsina Governor Begins One-Month Vacation

Gov Dikko Radda of Katsina State has announced that he is embarking on a one-month vacation from Thursday, July 18 to August 18, 2024.

The Governor has handed over power to his deputy, Faruq Lawal-Jobe, as he proceeds on the vacation.

The governor made this known in Katsina at a joint meeting with local government chairmen, legislatures and the executive.

“I also want to seize this opportunity to inform you that I will proceed with my vacation and medical checkup from Thursday until August 18.

“So, I have transmitted power formally to the deputy governor to act in an acting capacity for this period. I also sent a letter to the assembly, and they okayed my leave as provided by the constitution of this country.

I wish the acting governor well in the discharge of his responsibility. And for the members of the assembly, judiciary, executive council and local government chairmen, I want you to give him all the necessary cooperation and support.

“To the people of Katsina State, we thank you very much for giving us the opportunity to serve you,” the governor said.
