Speaking at Port Harcourt Airport, where he was attending a program organized by Change Makers International Initiative (CMII), Kumuyi emphasized that the initiative is non-religious and non-partisan, aiming to foster positive change and social impact in Nigeria.

He described the CMII program, titled “Driving Positive Change and Social Impact,” as an effort to improve lives regardless of background, aiming for both social and spiritual transformation. Kumuyi highlighted the extensive social, economic, and moral issues facing Nigeria, stressing that collective action is needed to address these challenges.

According to Kumuyi, every individual, family, and institution has a role in making improvements, which, although small individually, can accumulate to significant national change. He advocated for a shift in mindset and behavior to foster better relationships and interactions across various spheres.

Kumuyi urged against placing blame for past failures and instead called for a focus on creating positive change. He emphasized that different methods might be proposed, but the key is to collaborate constructively for progress. Respect and mutual understanding among youths, government, and all citizens are essential to achieving these goals.

He also suggested that personal change in attitudes and interactions can collectively lead to national and global improvements.
