Usman revealed that she had met with key party figures, including the 2023 presidential candidate Peter Obi, Abia State Governor Alex Otti, and Senator Darlington Nwokocha, who serves as Secretary of the LP Caretaker Committee, to discuss the ruling.

Usman urged party members to remain calm and peaceful while reconciliation efforts are underway.
“This evening, I met with His Excellency Mr. Peter Obi, His Excellency Governor Alex Otti, and Senator Darlington Nwokocha (Secretary, LP Caretaker Committee). We discussed the judgment delivered today.
“The case actually predates the formation of the Caretaker Committee. However, after receiving a briefing, the Caretaker Committee chose to join the case. Therefore, we have resolved to appeal the judgment.
