In the message signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Nia’bari Fakae, Lulu-Briggs noted that 2023 was a very difficult year for many Rivers people during which their livelihoods and security were compromised.

He said the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State if not halted, would further worsen the lot of the people.

He commended Rivers people for standing resolute against undemocratic and unconstitutional tendencies.

Lulu-Briggs while wishing Rivers people a Happy New Year, said 2024 provides an opportunity to stop and ponder.

He called on the warring groups involved in the political crisis in the state to sheath their swords and imbibe the spirit of forgiveness, love, and reconciliation.
