According to the Speaker, the alleged resignation letter that had gone viral was not from him.

He clarified that the letterhead, signature and date were all different from his usual ones, suggesting that the letter was fabricated.

Oleyelogun asserted that he had not resigned and would not do so until the last day of the Assembly’s session without any reason.

He stated that he was still working in his office and would continue to do so until he officially steps down and affirmed that he is still the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly.

“The letterhead paper is not my own. They just rushed it. Then the signature is not my own. Even the date on it is not how I used to write dates. I will type it and use my hand to write the date.

“I appeal to the security agents to speed into action so that they can get the perpetrators. They want to embarrass the state and my very self.”
