Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Yobe State Command, have rearrested a suspected drug dealer, Abubakar Usman, who has been wanted since 2022.

According to the statement, the 30-year-old suspect was apprehended at Sabon Sara village in Fune Local Government of Yobe State, following tireless efforts by the Command’s surveillance team.
“Upon his arrest, Usman was found to be in possession of approximately 6.8kg of dried weeds suspected to be cannabis.
“This seizure serves as a major blow to the illicit drug trade in the State and highlights the commitment of the NDLEA in eradicating drug-related activities”, it said.
The anti-narcotic agency added that further investigations will be conducted to determine the true extent of Usman’s involvement in the illegal drug trade.
NDLEA also called on the public to continue to provide information that can assist in the fight against drug trafficking and abuse to create a drug-free society and ensure the safety and well-being of all citizens.
