By the time they arrived, the assailants had fled with the abducted individuals. The vigilante commander, Hussaini Abubakar, confirmed these details.
The State Police Command, led by SP Wasiu Abiodun, later reported that only two people were abducted, not three as initially stated. During the raid, a security guard at a nearby poultry farm was injured by gunfire and later died at Umaru Musa Yar’adua Hospital.
