The attack occurred around 2 a.m., and the bandits were confronted by the manager, who was shot and killed during the encounter. Despite the violent raid, no cattle were stolen from the farms.

Security forces, including local vigilantes and police, responded to the scene about 10 minutes after the attack. By the time they arrived, the assailants had fled with the abducted individuals. The vigilante commander, Hussaini Abubakar, confirmed these details.

The State Police Command, led by SP Wasiu Abiodun, later reported that only two people were abducted, not three as initially stated. During the raid, a security guard at a nearby poultry farm was injured by gunfire and later died at Umaru Musa Yar’adua Hospital.
