The Nigerian suspect, Rahman Adam Bolakale, was caught using a fake national ID under the name Makenke Rahman Adam, despite having a valid Nigerian passport. He falsely claimed Ugandan heritage, alleging his father was from the Mufumbira tribe and his mother was Muganda.

The two Cameroonian nationals, Sah Cruz Nyimaneke and Sah Yuri Kor-Nyui, were also apprehended while trying to acquire Ugandan passports fraudulently. They falsely presented themselves as Baganda twins and used illegally obtained national IDs, although they held valid Cameroonian passports.

Simon Peter Mundeyi, Immigration Spokesperson, confirmed that a thorough investigation is underway to prosecute the suspects. He emphasized the strength of Uganda’s passport system and warned against assisting foreigners in illegal documentation processes.
