He recalled that when Tinubu took office, petrol was priced at under N200 per litre, and the naira traded at less than N800 to the dollar. However, he noted that both figures had worsened, raising questions about the administration’s economic strategies.
He emphasized that the economic challenges affect all Nigerians, regardless of political affiliation. “There is no separate market for APC and PDP members. Everyone is feeling the impact of these policies,” he said, urging the president to evaluate whether his government’s policies were truly improving the lives of the people.
Beyond economic issues, George also highlighted geopolitical concerns, particularly instability in Francophone West African nations and their strained ties with France. He warned that Nigeria must remain vigilant and take proactive steps to maintain stability amid potential regional turmoil.
Bode George called for an urgent national discussion to address these critical issues, stressing that early action was necessary to prevent larger crises from unfolding.
