The Sai Masu Gida side got relegated last season after an unimpressive campaign.

Kano Pillars will battle for a top-flight return against Katsina United, DMD FC and EFCC at the Nigeria National League Super Eight playoffs.

Ogenyi opined that the target is achievable with a collective effort.

He also stressed that his team’s defeat against Katsina United in the Naija Super 8 playoffs is a wake-up call.

“It is a good fitness test we had with Katsina United. It opened up for me, as the man in charge where to focus on, in the NNL Super 8,” he stated in a chat with the NNL media.

“I have my respect for DMD FC, EFCC FC and of course Katsina United but please tell them we have already taken one of the two tickets. Let them fight for the other one.

“This is exactly what we are about achieving, but like I have told the management and players, all hands must be on deck if we are to bring top-flight football back to the Groundnut Pyramid City of Kano.”

The promotion Play-offs will kick-start on July 2 at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.
