The spokesperson of the Ogun State Police Command, Odutola Omolola, who confirmed the incident to Punch on Wednesday stated that the bus driver, Akeem Olorode, reported the incident to the Ewekoro Divisional Police Headquarters.
“The driver was en route to Ibadan with a bus that seats 18 passengers, but was carrying only 15 travellers when they departed from Papalanto,” she stated.
“At around 7:00 pm, the driver stopped at a filling station in Itori to refuel. While filling the tank, other passengers alerted him that one of the passengers was acting strangely and had become unconscious.”
As other passengers reportedly made desperate attempts to administer first aid, Aderemi collapsed and passed away inside the bus.
Upon receiving the report, police detectives from the division were sent to the scene, where they found the deceased along with other passengers.
“It was later revealed that the deceased was a resident of Ibadan. He was transported to a state hospital in Ifo, where a doctor on duty confirmed his death,” the PPRO added.…..For More READ THE FULL ARTICLE HERE ▶▶
