The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ondo State Chapter, is profoundly shocked over the inability and failure of Ondo State Government to take proactive measures in averting the unfortunate incident, having been thoroughly alerted by relevant agencies such as Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) on the possible occurrence of such flooding in Ondo State.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!While our party considers the incident as truly avoidable, we cannot but be flabbergasted that the APC-led State Government in its characteristic blame-game tactics could still presumptuously and shamelessly accuse its own contractors of dereliction of duties when the government, having been warned, ought to have put up mechanisms, to monitor and supervise the so called contractors to ensure satisfactory service delivery and prevent these monumental losses.
It is disheartening that the State Government, despite such earlier warnings, could still wait until the havoc was wrecked.
Our party recalled that when similar incident occured in far away Maiduguri, Borno State, the Ondo State Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa quickly went there to sympathise and empathise with the people and government of Borno State. We are therefore at a loss as to know why the same governor could now abandon his own people who also suffered a similar fate, and jetted to Lagos State to fete with the high and mighty, thereby allowing the injured to lick their own wounds as though they were the architects of their own misfortune.
We are, however, consoled in that Mr Governor’s lack of capacity to govern, has been thoroughly exposed and so, the judgement day is fast approaching, when the good people of Ondo State would have the golden opportunity to sack through their thumbs, his reckless, irresponsive and insensitive government and replace it with a preemptive, productive, proactive PDP which parades highly diligent, ebullient and competent hands with requisite experiences needed to rescue and redirect the State on the path of economic prosperity.…..For More READ THE FULL ARTICLE HERE ▶▶
