Governor Adeleke had recently approved a revised Chieftaincy Law, which included the Lagbua Ruling House among the town’s royal families. However, Oba Olabomi opposed the inclusion, warning that it could lead to conflict in his domain.

The king stressed his respect for the governor and the state executive council, stating that he had never intended to challenge their authority. He highlighted his long-standing commitment to peace since his ascension to the throne 17 years ago and reiterated that he would never incite the public against the government.

Oba Olabomi also mentioned his recent meetings with Governor Adeleke on January 28 in Iragbiji and again at the airport, where he had shown the governor utmost respect.

Reaffirming his plea, the monarch once again urged Governor Adeleke and the executive council to reconsider their position on the Aragbiji Chieftaincy matter.
