Dabiri-Erewa disclosed this on her X handle while responding to the post of one her followers who said there were still many Nigerians facing harrowing situations in the North African country.

The follower, whose X handle is @enobong, wrote about the issue and below is the screenshot of the post:

Responding to the post however, Dabiri-Erewa said Nigerian government carried out what she described as “massive evacuation,” adding that over 10,000 Nigerians stranded in the country had been brought back.

In fact, she disclosed that some of those brought back arrived in the country less than two weeks ago, while also saying that Nigerians have been warned seriously to avoid that route.

She wrote: “Recall that we’ve brought back over 10.000 Nigerians from Libya . Massive evacuation. And we warned seriously to avoid that deadly route .

“However @UNmigration @IOM_Nigeria working with govt agencies have been bringing them back A set returned less than two weeks back . The refugee commission was on hand to receive them.”

Some citizens of Nigeria who wanted to get into Europe through the Mediterranean Sea and who failed in their mission always ended up in Libya where they were subjected to harrowing situations and forced labour.
