Peace Meeting: Tinubu asked ‘Do you all agree” everybody said yes. Fubara, Wike and I were there – Okocha

Speaking in a coverage by Symfoni TV, Okocha said the crisis began between Governor Siminalayi Fubara and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, whom Fubara used to refer to as his boss. He stated that they were invited to meet with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa.

Okocha disclosed that during the meeting, an eight-point peace deal was brought out. He said the peace deal was read aloud by former Governor Peter Odili. He said when President Tinubu asked everyone present if they agreed to the terms of the peace deal they said yes

Okocha said he was present in the meeting and witnessed everything that happened. He said Governor Fubara, Nyesom Wike, and the Rivers State House of Assembly Speaker, Martin Amaewhule, were all in attendance.

In Okocha’s words: “After crisis started between him (Fubara) and his Oga as he used to call Nyesom Wike, we went on the invitation of President Tinubu to Aso Rock Villa. Again, that 8 point communique was produced, read by our former governor Sir Doctor Peter Odili.

And after each point President Tinubu would echo ‘do we all agree’ and everybody would say yes. I was physically there, Fubara was there, Nyesom Wike was there, Martin Amaewhule was there”
