Andrew Wynne, a British citizen wanted by the Nigerian Police for allegedly plotting to overthrow President Bola Tinubu, has stated he will not respond to the police’s invitation.

Although Wynne denies the allegations, he insists he will not comply with the police request. He believes he would face torture and death if he visited Nigeria. Wynne claims that the police never officially invited him and fears for his life if he were to surrender. He expressed that, like someone he knows who was tortured, he too would likely be killed if he returned.

Gunmen Kidnap PDP Leader, Akika, in Oyo

Chief Benedict Akika, a leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo state, has been abducted. He was taken from his home in Lagelu local government area by armed men on Wednesday night. The gunmen, who were heavily armed, threatened to shoot anyone who resisted.

A family source revealed that Akika was with his family when the attack occurred. The gunmen fired shots to intimidate everyone before taking him to an unknown location. Recently, Akika had provided work tools worth millions of naira to widows and the less privileged at his residence.
