The governor of River State, Nyesom Wike had shed a little light on what he experienced while voting during the recently conducted general election.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!The 2023 presidential and National Assembly election had lesser number of accredited voters when compared to the 2019 and 2015 election despite the surge in the number of registered voters amounting to a total number of over 93 million. One of the reported reasons while many didn’t vote was because of the delays of voting materials at polling units, challenges faced with the BVAS, attacks from thugs and other factors.
The governor of River State, Nyesom Wike while commissioning the Chokocho-Igbodo road on Monday in Etche, River State revealed that he also had some challenges at his polling unit. According to Wike, he waited for over four hours while trying to cast his vote. He also said that his wife was unable to cast her vote.

“Everybody knows that I went to my polling unit to vote, it took me four hours, my wife couldn’t even vote. If I was to be angry, it was there I would have started to be angry. But I said well, it’s the first time we are using BVAS so it’s not expected to be perfect. So I left.”
