Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! In a statement issued to the press on Wednesday in Akure, the capital of Ondo State, Pastor Giwa highlighted the severity of the economic crisis.
He criticized the government’s distribution of 10 trucks of rice to each state, deeming it insufficient in the face of widespread suffering.
The pastor argued that such measures are merely a drop in the ocean and will not effectively tackle the challenges Nigerians face.
Pastor Giwa called for more significant actions and suggested that the President should promptly reduce the prices of food and fuel.
He noted that distributing a small quantity of rice is not a practical solution, as many Nigerians are unable to afford it at current prices.
The pastor highlighted the growing frustration and desperation among citizens, indicating that current economic policies are ineffective.
He warned that neglecting the people’s struggles could lead to further unrest and urged the President to implement policies that would provide immediate relief.
“A hungry man is not afraid of death; the president should urgently do what is right to make Nigerians happy. Distributing 10 trucks of rice to each state won’t help the current situation. Where do you expect the hungry Nigerians to see N40,000 to buy a bag of rice? Please, stop this nonsense and do what is right,” he said.
