The spokesman of the state police command, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, who confirmed the development to DAILY POST in Ilorin on Tuesday, disclosed that Bosere was also successfully rescued by the security team on a search and rescue operation.

He said an investigation into the abduction was ongoing, in the bid to get to the root of the matter.

The duo were abducted by armed men last week at Bosere’s Camp Life residence, Jebba town, at about 10am.

During the operation, Philemon was also injured and hospitalized in a health facility at Jebba town.

According to the police spokesman, pressure mounted by the combined team of security agencies, the police, local vigilantes and hunters, resulted in the kidnappers abandoning the abducted victim, Bosere, and their motorcycle in the bush.

“In the process of escaping, the kidnappers ran into a set of security teams, including the army, who arrested them,” he further disclosed.
