In the midst of this unfolding drama, VeryDarkMan has thrown a bombshell, hinting that these perceived calculated positive reports about Evans might be the government’s covert prelude to securing his release.

But VDM doesn’t stop there, he connected the dots, tying this suspicious move to the arrest of Abba Kyari, the disgraced former police officer.

Nigerian online crusader, social commentator, and unflinching political critic, Martins Vincent Otse, widely known by his moniker VeryDarkMan (VDM), has stirred a hornet’s nest with his latest scathing remarks on the controversial case of convicted kidnap kingpin Chukwudimeme Onwuamadike, better known as Evans.

The notorious criminal’s recent application for a plea bargain with the Lagos State Government, amid his ongoing trial, has drawn the sharp ire of VDM, who believes there’s a much darker undercurrent at play.

Recall that Evans’ lawyer, Emefo Etudo, recently presented a narrative of reformation during the re-arraignment at the Lagos High Court in Ikeja, where the kidnapper faced amended charges.

Etudo claimed that his client had undergone a remarkable transformation while incarcerated, earned top academic scores and even pursuing higher education. He further credited his client’s apparent rehabilitation to the benevolence of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) and the Federal Government for their support and encouragement.

This heartwarming portrayal of the hardened criminal seemed almost too good to be true, raised more questions than answers about the true motivations behind the government’s stance on his case.

Verydarkman, who, in a fiercely candid video shared across his social media platforms, wasted no time in calling out the suspicious and calculated narrative being peddled around Evans’ supposed rehabilitation. He raised a flag, declaring bluntly that something is fishy about the glowing reports surrounding Evans.

According to the controversial activist, he believes the government is inching closer to releasing Evans, a move that could see a dangerous and unrepentant criminal walk free.

But VDM’s concerns don’t stop there, he suggests that the Nigerian government could be more than complicit in Evans’ activities, and may even be directly involved in orchestrating or covering up the criminal syndicates Evans has long been tied to.

He postulates that these syndicates have ravaged countless lives, left a trail of destruction, and that Evans’ potential release could be the result of a sinister governmental agenda.

VDM further went on to make an explosive and chilling connection, drawing a parallel between Evans’ possible release and the case of Abba Kyari, the former Deputy Commissioner of Police whose arrest and detention have raised eyebrows across the nation.

Kyari, who spent a staggering 27 months in the Kuje Custodial Centre after his arrest in February 2022 by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for his alleged involvement with an international drug cartel, was recently released.

Verydarkman boldly claims that Kyari’s detention and eventual release appear to have been part of a larger orchestrated setup by powerful people in government, because of Kyari’s unflinching commitment to exposing and taking down dangerous criminals like Evans.
