The governors expressed outrage over Wike’s recent comments and actions, which they say target PDP governors, including Governor Fubara. They are calling on President Bola Tinubu to either caution or remove Wike from office to restore confidence in the NGF’s leadership and prevent further instability in Rivers State.

According to a source, the governors criticized the NGF for not addressing concerns raised by its members, particularly regarding the treatment of Governor Fubara while also expressing a lack of confidence in the leadership of NGF Chairman, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, whom they accuse of failing to unify the forum.

They also accused Wike of being involved in attempts to destabilize Rivers State and unlawfully remove Fubara from office as well as the minister’s inflammatory remarks aimed at PDP governors, especially Governor Fubara, have heightened tensions within the party.

This newspaper further gathered that the South-South governors are demanding immediate action from President Tinubu, calling on him to take decisive steps to ensure that the FCT Minister does not continue actions that threaten party unity and peace in Rivers State.

They also asked that governor Fubara be safeguarded from unlawful attempts to remove him from office and ensure stability in the region, which is critical to Nigeria’s economic and political stability.
