The Taraba State Police Command has confirmed the killing of a man in his house by unknown persons.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!The incident, DAILY POST learnt, occurred in the early hours of Sunday in Nyivu, a community in Donga Local Government Council.
The command’s Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Usman, said the victim was macheted to death in his bedroom.
He affirmed that the command has commenced an investigation, stating that detectives will work round the clock to unravel the circumstances surrounding the gruesome killing.
Usman urged the people of the community with useful information on the perpetrators not to hesitate to reach out to the command.
A member of the victim’s family, who also confirmed the brutal killing, said the suspects found their way to the room while they were asleep.
Other respondents who spoke with DAILY POST described the killing as a rude shock to them and the community at large and urged the state government to roll out its security apparatus to track the perpetrators.
They also stressed the need for the government to collaborate with relevant agencies to strengthen security around the area, which is located along the Marraraba-Takum road.
