Teen boy, aged 17 years, landed in police net after robbing POS attendant of N100,000

The state police command announced the arrest on its Facebook wall, saying the teenager, Wisdom Danjuma, aged 17 years, was arrested by the police patrol team attached to the Bosso Divisional Headquarters.

According to the command, a distress call was received by the division that the female POS attendant at Bosso Low Cost area was robbed by the teenage robber in her shop while he was armed with a long knife.

The command wrote: “Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect criminally trespassed into the POS shop, pulled out a long sharp knife, intimidated the attendant and robbed her of the sum of N100,000.

“Consequently, the POS attendant raised an alarm and the suspect took to his heels. But the community members and the police patrol team chased him until he was arrested.”

The command added that at the point of his arrest, the knife and the money were recovered from him.

During his interrogation, he was said to have confessed that he was sent to rob the POS attendant by two other members of his robbery gang.
