After attending the first-ever Zonal Executive Council Meeting of the People’s Democratic Party Northwest in Kaduna on Saturday, Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal shared his thoughts with the media.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!According to Tambuwal, lawmakers that defect to the APC are driven by personal wealth, which he referred to as “stomach infrastructure,” rather than a real desire to serve the people. He criticized these politicians for their commitment to serve the people.
The logic behind these defections was called into question by him, and he said that no politician who is conscientious would join the APC given the policies that it now implements and the economic suffering that Nigerians are experiencing. Tambuwal drove home the point that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is undesirable to anybody who really cares about the well-being of the people because it lacks perspective, compassion, and direction.
The federal administration that is governed by the APC has been attacked by Tambuwal, who said that it is lacking in vision, empathy, and direction. Given the recent economic difficulties and the perceived failings of the Tinubu government, he stated that any politician who was sincerely worried about the future of Nigeria would not affiliate themselves with the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Taking into consideration the economic difficulties that the nation is experiencing and the perceived failings of the Tinubu government, Tambuwal is of the opinion that no politician with a conscience would agree to support the APC.
As he emphasizes the need of having a powerful alternative to the present administration, Tambuwal is making a call to the opposition forces, urging them to collaborate and plan for the elections that will take place in 2027. He is of the opinion that a unified opposition is absolutely necessary in order to provide Nigerians a choice that is still feasible.
“When it comes to the APC, there is nothing appealing about it other than the personal advantages. “Those of us who are dedicated to this nation and to providing genuine public service need to work together to make certain that by the year 2027, we remove this administration that has failed the people of Nigeria,” he went on to say.
In the meanwhile, the People’s Democratic Party Northwest remains resolute in its pursuit of power in 2027, with a focus on fostering unity and strategic mobilization.
Following the conclusion of the meeting, Senator Bello Hayatu Gwarzo, who serves as the Chairman of the PDP Northwest, issued a communiqué in which he reaffirmed the party’s desire to restore its position as the national leader.
