One resident, Usman Alfadari, confirmed the ongoing terror activities, revealing that the group had been operating in the region for over six years.

Alfadari described how the militants would target cattle herders, demanding either tax or zakat (charity), and would often intimidate local religious leaders.

For over two years now, if they entered the bush and met anyone rearing cattle, they would demand to see the owner of the cattle, and ask if the person is a cattle rustler or owner. They would then demand tax or zakat,” Alfadari explained.

Alfadari further highlighted the growing proximity of the group’s operations to populated areas, revealing that their camp is now situated just 6 km from Gidan Madi, a village in Tangaza.

In Gudu, the militants’ presence has been particularly pronounced. Alfadari mentioned a violent incident in which the group attacked and killed four soldiers.

They even went away with a security vehicle one time after dislodging them,” he added.

Additionally, the group launched an attack on Gongoro village in Tangaza but was repelled by the community, resulting in the death of four militants.READ FULL STORY HERE>>>CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE READING>>>
