According to Daily Trust, the incident occurred while he and others were harvesting beans in a remote village in northeastern Nigeria.

“In fact, some of us had started harvesting the beans when the assailants struck.
They gathered us in one place and threatened to kill anyone that attempted to escape,” he said.
The atmosphere was heavy with fear, and the villagers quickly realized the attackers were not interested in negotiation or mercy.
Despite the overwhelming danger, the man made a daring decision.
“They threatened to kill anyone that attempted to escape, but I chose to run rather than die miserably in their hands,” he added.
