The Congress directed workers and civil society organisations across the country to immediately start mobilisation for mass protest and rallies ahead of the strike beginning Wednesday.
the union stressed that the policies put in place by Tinubu’s administration were insensitive to the plight of Nigerians and rather than give hope and succour, they have thrown the people into mass suffering and poverty.
ICSAN VP wins global award
The Vice President and Council Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria, Mrs Uto Ukpanah, has won the award of ‘The Global Corporate Secretary’ of the year at the maiden edition of the Corporate Secretaries International Association Global Governance Awards, which held in Malaysia recently.
With this achievement, Nigeria has emerged as the first recipient of the global award. Ukpanah, a fellow of ICSAN, is also the company secretary of MTN Nigeria.
Failed Politicians Behind Omobayo’s Resignation Call’

Some members of the Legacy Group of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akoko-Edo local government area of Edo State have disassociated themselves from the call for the resignation of the deputy governor Marvellous Omobayo.
The call for Omobayo’s resignation as Governor Godwin Obaseki’s deputy after the impeachment of Comrade Philip Shaibu is allegedly being championed by another set of politicians led by Dan Orbih.
A leader of the Omobayo’s supporters in the group said those behind the call were “failed politicians.”
The leader who craved anonymity described the report by one Paul Dada as not only self-serving but fueled by political bitterness and jealousy.
One Paul Dada who in a publication in some social media platforms claimed to represent the Legacy Group faction of the PDP, had called for the resignation of Omobayo.
Operators canvass sustainable practices to attract investors
Real estate industry experts have advocated for the adoption of efficient and sustainable practices to draw in investors and stimulate growth in the sector.
They made this call at the 5th edition of the Lagos Real Estate Fest, themed “Building the Model for Future of Cities in Nigeria”, which was held in Lagos, recently.
The Managing Director of Crayon Development and Crayon Global Limited UK, Bolanle Ibitola, said developers and investors needed to continuously build on the input of end users to retain sustainability practices.
She said, “A lot of people are looking for what you are doing. So, what type of innovations are you putting into your buildings? What kind of sustainability measures are you putting in? Do you have anything in terms of the greenness of your buildings? In terms of your work? In terms of your solar? Or your electrics? Also, most importantly, in terms of the quality of your development, what lifestyle opportunities can you bring to the table here? For most of them, they’re used to the finance of the building.
