Chelsea are looking to secure a new No.1 this summer transfer window, with both Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga expected to leave Stamford Bridge if suitable offers are received this summer.

Mendy enjoyed an excellent first season with Chelsea, helping the Blues win the Champions League, but lost his place this season to Kepa – though the Spaniard underwhelmed and committed a number of errors.

Chelsea’s new manager Mauricio Pochettino feels a new goalkeeper is required and, alongside a new midfielder and striker, sees the position as one of three key areas that must be addressed this summer.

The west London club have been heavily linked with Inter Milan’s Andre Onana as well as Brentford’s David Raya, but now a new name has emerged on their radar.

According to French outlet L’Equipe, Milan’s hierarchy have no intention of letting Maignan leave and will rebuff Chelsea’s interest.

Maignan is valued by AC Milan at €60million (£ 51 million).
